Responsible Protection, Tailored to Local Requirements
In California, every vehicle operated or parked on public roads must carry liability insurance — otherwise, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) may suspend the vehicle registration.
Required liability limits in California are:
$30,000 per person for bodily injury for bodily injury for bodily injury
$60,000 per accident for bodily injury (total) for bodily injury (total) for bodily injury (total)
$15,000 for property damage
These limits represent a significant increase from the previous 15/30/5 requirement. The change reflects rising medical, repair, and litigation costs and is intended to strengthen overall protection for all drivers
